Blend Recipe: Lavender Comfort Massage Oil

A blend I like to use for an achy body from over-exertion

Aromatherapy Blend Recipe – Massage

“This aromatherapy blend recipe – massage” is best used as massage oil.

Use a pipette to drop 8 drops of Lavender (Lavandula angustifolia), 2 drops of Roman Chamomile (Chamaemelum Nobile), and 2 drops of Eucalyptus smithii in a small glass bottle.

Add 6 drops of the blend to one tablespoon of vegetable oil such as grapeseed, almond essential oil, or our massage oil blend. For a whole body massage, you may need to double or triple the recipe in order to make 2 or 3 tablespoons of the final massage oil. For adults only.

For application to the body, dilute 6 drops of this pure essential oil blend in one tablespoon of vegetable oil such as grapeseed oil, almond oil or our massage oil blend. The recipe as written will enable you to make up to two tablespoons of diluted blend, but for a full body massage, you may need to double the recipe.

It’s important to use Eucalyptus smithii and not substitute Eucalyptus globulus (the more commonly used form of Eucalyptus). Substitution will not give equivalent results. One of the keys to mastering the use of essential oils is to learn the subtle differences between similar oils.

Safety Considerations

For adult use only. Topical usage is not safe for children. Do not apply to mucous membranes, damaged or irritated skin, near eyes or on or near other delicate skin areas.
