Oak Moss Absolute
Oak Moss Absolute (Evernia prunastri) comes from France, where it is made by solvent extraction.
Oak Moss Oil is quite thick – not suitable for bottling in sizes smaller than 5ml. Its principle use is in perfumery. Absolutes are highly concentrated, aromatic oils derived via solvent extraction of plant material – often from flowers that are too delicate for steam distillation, like Jasmine, Mimosa and White and Pink Lotus. Because the extraction process involves lower temperatures than distillation, the aromatic compounds in Absolutes can smell exceptionally fresh.

Love it! Heady and woodsy~ the perfect base note for exotics and men’s cologne.
