This organic oil is said by aromatherapists to be warming, invigorating, and ease breathing. In Chinese Medicine, the herb ginger is said to have a wide sphere of action that includes stimulating the yang energy of Spleen, Stomach, Heart, Lungs, and Kidneys. The fresh root is used in Chinese Medicine for colds and chills while the dried root is believed to restore the body’s yang energy.

Ginger was one of the first products to travel the spice route from Asia to Europe and both the Romans and Greeks used it extensively. The Greek physician Dioscorides recommended it as a digestive stimulant. In the 16th Century, the Spanish empire began the cultivation of ginger in the West Indies.
