Peach Kernel Oil
Peach Kernel Oil (Prunus persica) is a light, yellow oil, cold pressed from the pit or “kernel” of the fruit of the peach tree. This oil belongs to the same family as almond and apricot oils.
Peach Kernel Oil contains Omega 3, 6, and 9 fatty acids which have been said to help the skin retain moisture and elasticity. We have read that Peach Kernel Oil is a good source of antioxidants which are reputed to have anti-aging effects by tightening pores but allowing the skin to stay supple and soft; while we can’t verify those claims, we do really like the effect this oil has on our skin!
Peach Kernel Oil is one of our favorite oils for delicate, mature skin, especially skin that has been overexposed to wind or sun.
Peach Kernel Oil is said to be rich in vitamin B-12. It is a light oil which is quickly absorbed by the skin and leaves no oily residue. It also helps retain moisture to the skin and acts as a protective barrier.
