Turkey Red Oil
Turkey Red Oil dispersant is also known as “Sulfated Castor Oil” and is made by adding sulfuric acid to vegetable oils.
Turkey Red Oil is water soluble. A few drops help Essential Oils mix with water.
Sulfated Castor Oil was the first synthetic detergent after ordinary soap. It is also used in formulating lubricants, softeners, and dyeing assistants. Castor oil has a medium viscosity and has been used in bath oil recipes along with fragrance or other essential oils.
Uses of Turkey Red Oil
This oil is mainly used to help essential oil mix with water. It’s not 100% effective but is a natural alternative that works pretty well and is much preferable to synthetics. Just be sure to shake the perfume or room spray or other product you’ve created very well before dispensing or spraying.
