Cumin Essential Oil
Cumin Essential Oil (Cuminum cyminum) from Egypt is Therapeutic Quality Pure Essential Oil steam distilled from the seeds.
The aromatic “punch” of this oil is quite intense, much like the intensity of its fellow spice oil, coriander.
The essential oil of cumin is extracted by steam distillation from the dried and crushed seeds. Cumin is quite popular as a spice and it hardly needs any introduction. However, its a bit more unusual. Nearly all the medicinal properties of cumin come from its essential oils, which, in its pure form, is far more effective and beneficial than cumin seeds. The EO is mainly composed of cuminic, cymene, dipentene, limonene, phellandrene and pinene, and it blends well with angelica, caraway and chamomile.
Cumin Essential Oil Uses
Some massage therapists say that this oil is the secret ingredient of deep relaxation. With a peppery and rich aroma, massage therapists have said that it can stimulate the mind while relaxing the body.
