Dill Essential Oil aka Dill Seed Oil
Some of the main components of this EO are: d-carvone, dillapiol, dhc, eugenol, limonene, terpinene and myristicin.
Dill Seed Oil is often very green in color although that can vary somewhat from season to season. It has an aroma that is herbaceous and warm, gentle and soothing. Some use it for digestive issues, but it is also helpful during times of worry and tension. With sedating and calming effects on the nerves, it’s used for anxiety, tension and sleep support.
Avoid during pregnancy but may be appropriate for nursing mothers. Always consult with a certified aromatherapist before use of any essential oil when pregnant or nursing.
While we do not recommend internal use (ingestion) of essential oils except under the guidance of an appropriately trained and licensed healthcare professional, Dill Seed essential oil is specifically cautioned against for oral use by people taking medication for diabetes due to potential drug interactions.Essential Oil Safety Considerations
